Province-wide patterns across Alberta's 194 continuing care homes. These figures aggregate the public monitoring record; they describe the system as a whole and do not rank or score individual homes.

What the numbers show
A few patterns stand out once the totals are read together.
- A few standards drive most findings. The two most-cited standards are Standardized Assessment and Care Planning and Restraint Management and Secure Spaces, together about 33% of all findings recorded.
- The pandemic left a clear, time-limited mark. Public-health findings appear only from 2020 to 2023, the period of the COVID-19 Chief Medical Officer of Health orders, then stop.
- Most findings get fixed. 93% of findings have been addressed; the rest remain open or in progress.

Findings by home size
Continuing care homes range widely in size. Grouping them by their number of units shows how the average number of findings per home varies with size. Bands are categories, never individual homes.
Findings by standard type over time
Non-compliance findings each year, one chart per type of standard. Public-health findings appear only from 2020 to 2023 (the COVID-19 Chief Medical Officer of Health orders). Health-service findings rise sharply from 2019 and again from 2023, which reflects more intensive auditing under Alberta's continuing care reforms rather than a measured change in care.
How findings are resolved
Alberta records whether each finding has been put right. Of all 8,572 findings recorded since 2013, 93% have been addressed and the rest remain open or in progress.
