What the numbers show
A few patterns stand out across the areas of care.
- Findings concentrate in a few areas. The five most-cited areas account for about 56% of all findings, led by care planning (4,081).
- The most common areas are not the most serious. How often a citation rises to a compliance order varies by area: about 21% of abuse & neglect findings and 17% of environment & safety findings became orders, compared with about 6% for care planning, the single most-cited area. How often and how serious are different lenses.
- One area is nearly universal. 573 of the 634 inspected homes were cited at least once for care planning, more than for any other area.

A home is counted once per area, however many times it was cited there.
The area groupings are ours: each finding is assigned by the rule it cites, since the Ministry publishes findings by rule rather than by category. A small number of findings have no rule reference recorded and are not assigned to an area, so the total here can sit slightly below the province-wide inspections total. A count is context, not a verdict; we do not rank homes.
